The Summer Jam takes place on the Regattainsel in the Fühlinger See (Lake) very close to Köln (Cologne)! This festival area is very nice and green, with trees and a beautiful lake.
It is quite easy to find that place!
The Fühlinger See is a very popular lake for hot weekends and is very close to the city of Köln and to the city of Leverkusen it is just a jump over the Rhein.

• Public transport from Cologne to the festivalarea: From Köln/Cologne Main Station use S-Bahn S11 to Köln-Chorweiler. From there it is just about 10min to walk to the area or you can take the Bus 121 (direction Ossendorf) to 'Oranjehofstrasse'.
  If you use the Underground take line U12 to 'Merkenich' and take the Bus 121 (direction Ossendorf) to 'Oranjehofstrasse'
• Take the official summerjam-bus!

• If you come by car: Use the offramp "Köln-Niehl" of the A1 between Leverkusen and Köln and turn to the North (direction Fühlingen or Feldkassel). Get off that short Motorway on the next offramp and you are directly at the area!
• Parking: There will be central parking places and BUS SHUTTLE SERVICE from the parking places to the festival and camping area. There will be a parking fee of 10,-Euro this year for the time between Thursday and Monday, Parking for Saturday and Sunday is 5 Euro! Please remember to bring easy to carry luggage! The shuttle is operating between Thursday 10:00am and Monday 9:00am. There will be connections to the next shopping center as well.
  
• Camping: There are camping facilities at the festival area but you can't take a car close to your tent! THERE WILL BE NO CAMPING ON THE FESTIVAL ISLAND ANY MORE! For caravans special camping lots will be opened! There will be a fee of 35,-EURO for the caravan lot!!! The caravan place has to be booked in advance, deadline is 24. June 2002!   Showers are supplied but there may be a little fee. Toilets and water are supplied for free...
  There will be NO camping fee, admission to the camp ground is allowed with festival tickets only!
  The free campsite will be opened on Thursday 10:00am, camping is allowed in advance but a fee of 10Euro will has to be paid....
  
• Airport: The next international airports are Köln/Bonn, Düsseldorf and Mönchengladbach. You can use public transport from all of them, preferably from Düsseldorf.
